We Have Finally Found Our Perfect Online Business
This past weekend Ian and I attended a two day workshop run by two of Australia’s leading online business success stories.They are Shaun Stenning and Sean Rasmussen and the event is called Smart Online Profit System.
One the first day of the event we learnt about market research and how to apply what we discover. We then moved on to Search Engine Optimisation. We were given a number of great tips on how to optimise our blogs to help get them ranked by Google. One of the other benefits of making sure that your blog or website is SEO friendly is you can get ranked for keywords. So make sure that at least your major keyword is in the URL of your site. This will enhance your opportunity for free traffic.
The next exciting Online Business model we talked about was Affiliate Marketing. This is an exciting way to make money on the internet without having to develop a product of your own. The concept of being able to choose a product and then marketing it for a percentage of the sales price is a great way to start your online marketing career. Here are a few tips on choosing an affiliate program to partner in business.
- Quality of product
- Ethics of the company
- Get to know the product (buy yourself if possible)
- Payment you get is at least 50% of the cost
Also with choosing an affiliate product you need to do a little market research to pick your niche. You can use the Google keyword tool. The go to Google and type in the keyword you choose to see how many search results come back. You can use one, two or three word-keywords. One other thing to remember is to choose a product that you are passionate about. If you are PASSIONATE about something you are more likely to be successful.
Sean Rasmussen is passionate about using the power of Social Media to become known on the internet. To do this you can use Twitter or Digg, Facebook or Squidoo which is a very powerful medium to use as Google loves Squidoo. Sign up for Social Marker and submit your blog to a large number of social site is a guick step by step process.
