Mindblowing Statistics

During the workshop we attended last weekend we discussed in detail the many social media sites and the role they play in getting to know other internet market geeks and allowing this network of people get to know you. We learnt how to use the amazingly powerful medium of the World Wide Web and we build a new wordpress blog. The power of the internet and the marketing that is talking place here is being powered forward by the use of the social sites.

We talked of the power of Twitter at this present time and how in just a matter of a few weeks Oprah has over 1.1 million followers and growing by the second. Go to the link above and see for yourself. In the short time it has taken me to write this blog post Oprah’s followers have grown by over 100.

We talked about MySpace and the huge amount of people who are on MySpace. The I found the youtube video attached below that is full of some of the most astounding statistics I have see so far relating to how our planet is growing and the dramatic shifts taking place virtually as you read this blog. So I won’t tell you too many just watch the video.

Now that brings us to youtube itself. No matter what you want to learn ablut you can find that it youtube in so many different ways that watching a few may even make it a major decision just to decide whose instructions you will follow. From making a cake to building a house you will find it here on youtube.

Then there is facebook and WOW the user numbers here are nearly half the population on the United States. Just think of 200 million people are registered with over 100 million logging in daily.

Then there is Digg and Delicious and Stumbleupon and and and …………..

I would be here for days if I were to write a little about each social media site on the net today.
